The choir rehearses Thursday evenings and sings monthly on Sunday mornings. Please contact us for more information.
"...choir is like a healthy micro congregation. We don't come to rehearsal with the idea that we should get it right immediately. Rather, we come expecting to make lots of mistakes. We come expecting to rehearse phrases that have dissonant harmonies leading to both expected and unexpected resolutions. We come expecting to need to rehearse things many times over, requiring patience with each other, knowing it will not be mastered until each of us masters it. Then we resonate through the melodies, harmonies and discords with skill, confidence and joy. And when we are wrong, clash, bend out of tune... mostly we laugh, even enjoying that as part of the journey. The choir grows best when there are seasoned, experienced singers mixed in with novices. Everyone sings in the section they were made for. We don't ask basses to sing soprano. If someone is unsure, we help discern the right section for them. And everyone contributes. No one sits idle, expecting someone else to sing for them. We will always have things to learn, we will always make mistakes and need to rehearse some more. We know with God's help we will get it. God does find us. If you think miracles aren't very common these days, and you rarely if ever get to witness them, come to choir ...we see them, we hear them, we sing them regularly!"
