God has not given up on us. Genesis declares the world “very good,” culminating with the creation of humanity. The resurrection affirms that we still bear a unique status and calling within God’s purposes. As the second Adam, Jesus Christ embodies true humanity, fulfilling what Adam and Eve—and even Israel—failed to accomplish. Through his bodily resurrection, Jesus affirms our dignity as God’s image-bearers and restores our calling: to steward creation as those who share in his rule and to mediate God’s presence and goodness to the world.
