This Sunday we conclude our resurrection series and reflect on Revelation’s breathtaking vision of God’s promised future — a new heaven and new earth where God dwells fully with humanity and makes all things new. Jesus’ resurrection affirms that this future is real: not abandonment, but the renewal and restoration of creation.
Revelation also offers a beautiful picture of the nations bringing their treasures into the city of God — not closed borders, but the diversity of peoples, cultures, and gifts being welcomed and celebrated in God’s kingdom.
In Christ, the life of the world to come has already begun, and our worship becomes a foretaste of that coming reality. The question before us is this: How should this future vision shape the way we live now? How do we become a people who reflect the future God has revealed?
